There was some guy, on HN recently, who could convert any image to CSS (kindof hacky) -- CSS is always displayed, even if browser won't show images. You will wouldn't have analytics, but at least the ad would display.

Sigh, The grounds for an ICANN UDRP complaint require: (1) the manner in which the domain name(s) is/are identical or confusingly similar to a trademark or service mark in which the Complainant has rights; and (2) why the Respondent (domain

Good article: Motivates me to hire a programmer for some little jobs, instead of doing everything myself.

I read it before I posted. It's interesting, but not technical or appropriate. Off I go to delete my HN account. I think that's it for me. EDIT: If I could figure out how to delete my account.

I had this same service a few years ago, and even at $99 it is a money loser. And kinda boring after a while -- even if you autopick the names, you still have to review them before giving them to the client.

Still kinda clever. Some services let you "prove" you own a domain by inserting some text into the WHOIS... I can't think of one off the top-of-my-head, but this "hack" might be useful for that.

Good for business? <Sarcasm>Yeah, and when those 5% of users quit the service, you can get rid of the next 5%. Keep repeating until you have no customers.</Sarcasm>

This is a pretty good idea. I googled for something similar and didn't find anything, but the search terms are pretty tough "google" "feed", etc :)
