Do all the startups get the ~$80k VC money? And is that at the beginning of the batch or at the end? (This part isn't mentioned like the $14-20k funding is http://ycombinator.com/apply.html )

Seems a shame that they're using the traditional auction format, meaning only the very rich will have this opportunity. Would have been much better if they'd offered the lottery ticket style of prizeo.com, would have bought a few tickets wi

I can understand why they're trying to do with a funny commercial, but I think it's misplaced when their product is dealing with serious law issues. To me, it just made them come across like they're not very serious, even a little juvenile.

You're right, what extra information is this URL sending? I haven't seen it any other techcrunch linked article. http://techcrunch.com/2013/04/20/cognitive-overhead/?icid=wym3&grcc2=870a9d585d2156a619b69a6861141a34~1366515093871~fca

What are the indicators that this is a malicious DDoS attack rather than just unprecedented traffic from interest in the Boston manhunt? Also, what reason is there for a DDoS attack on Reddit right now?

I'm actually a little surprised that an equal equity split is apparently the default and preferred option in the valley. It's quite an unspeakable topic in my experience so I'd appreciate if someone could confirm this. I remember being told

No need for the patronising scare quotes. I'm talking about whether to base your app on web technologies like HTML5 and js (regardless of delivery method - web/native webview wrapper), or to use native UI elements/memory management etc of t
