I'd settle for decent video seeking on the web and proper timezone support (both of which Dropcam had years ago).

Rumours are pointing towards September for a 16" MBP with a new design and new keyboard. Hopefully that does happen, my 2013 MBP could use an upgrade also

We've been using Pritunl Zero ( https://zero.pritunl.com/ ) for this and it's been great - was always difficult to get non-technical users to use the VPN, and now we have authentication even for internal traffic.

Yeah, this is all on the late 2013 15" with the nvidia dgpu - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206587 has the official details on this BTW - they state that SST Displayport 3840 x 2160 displays are only supported

If you have a Displayport display, you can use a displayport to mini displayport cable, use switchresx, should work good. If it's HDMI only, as the sibling pointed out the HDMI port won't work. However, Startech makes a displaypor

4k60hz is also possible over displayport, on my Late 2013 mbp I need to use switchresx to get it going (but I've found that pretty set-and-forget), but on the newer ones than that it works without any hacks AFAIK

I have seen that with my Late 2013 MBP (dgpu) as well - for some reason on High Sierra and Mojave the performance is significantly worse than Sierra (seems to be related to WindowServer process leaking memory). Haven't seen any issues

AFAIK, If your battery is in the service battery condition (generally, less than 80% health), then you'll get the $199 price, otherwise you have to pay for the top case. It's the same repair either way but they charge for it diffe

Yeah that index is amazing if you are doing a lot of sliding LIKE queries (i.e. % placeholders at start and end). Speeds them up massively without having to switch to a full text index or change your queries at all.

This looks like a great move - I just wish Citus or another top-tier Postgres option was included, Google's managed Postgres is pretty behind (old version, no PITR, and IIRC limited module and replication support). We're still man

Yeah I've had problems with previous chargers but my Pixel Stand works great every time. The design makes it very easy to get it in the right spot and keeps it there.

I think the reason Inbox is getting killed is largely because the developers for it are already back working on Gmail - seems after the app got a good reception they we're pretty quickly brought back in. It's a shame really - IMO

Yeah I don't know where that Pixelbook keyboard came from (does Google have people engineering keyboards?) but it's crazy good. Thin, too - so no excuse for Apple's new keyboards.

This is a good approach for many apps, but watch out for the thorny XSS issues you can have when mixing server-side rendering with a client-side framework which supports interpolations e.g {{ some_var }} . Rails/Django etc will correct
