There is also: https://pdfcpu.io/ That said, if you're looking for a GUI app to do simple PDF mutations it's often hard to fine a simple solid open source cross platform app. At least I haven't found one :)

I view the money we pay the Danish royal family as the cost of not having a bloody revolution some 150-200 years ago. When you consider how many people and how much wealth was destroyed during/following revolutions like the French or R

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of the trend. But one could argue that a computer is just a cheaper implementation of the yesteryears discrete electronics. Which was itself a cheaper implementation of old school mechanical gears

The more old school alternative is to just buy old CDs and a CD player. Used, you can find this stuff pretty cheap. Abd it's still more physical than NFC cards.

And so much of our tech stack runs on old abstractions. Do you even need an MMU, if you have memory safe languages? Honestly, maybe semi scaling is a problem for AI, but for most other software today, the problem is bugs, bloat, latency.

I don't think the political ads are like in the US. Not at all. Also the scale is no where near. TV2 in Denmark just ran an article saying that the 24 politicians and parties buying the most ads bought a total of 250k ads ahead of this
