Subsidizing gas is an expensive temporary bandaid solution. Higher prices will drive EV adoption and busses. In the EU, EVs or public transit is the only long term solutions we have.

Currently conflict is a really good sales pitch for buying more interceptors. You could expect order books to get so thick that production increases. I mean looking from the side lines, I could see why many countries might want to have a fe

Even if you find a safe resin. Might there be microscopic layer lines? Or other unknowns you're not familiar with? Making 3d prints that can be cleaned is non-trivial, maybe there is a surface finish involved, etc. Also how do you know

Do you think launching a dumb ICBM at New York would make the US put boots on the ground. I kind of doubt it's enough. This wouldn't be another 9/11, it would be merely be retaliation.

Well, someone operating a business refusing to pay fines in the UK might want to avoid traveling to the UK. Not a big loss, but something to keep in mind. There is a risk the UK has long memory.

Yeah, communicating what you want can be hard. I'm doing a simple single line text editor, and designing some frame options. Which has a start end markers. This was really hard to get the LLM to do right.. until just took a pen and pap

It's hard to imagine chip supply chain could be commercially viable without globalization. One could probably argue that giving up globalization means fewer and less capable products.

There will probably be some yolo startups that deploy write-only code to production with unreviewed terraform plans -- who knows this could be disruptive -- but I'm also certain this won't be the last such story. --- All that bein

10 years ago self-driving EVs were going to make it so nobody owns a car. There was a lot of hype. We are possibly still on track to get to that world. But it might easily take another 10-20 years :) AI will change things, but don't un
