You shouldn't be getting down-voted. The idea of anyone rewriting the entire Android Framework in Go when you can use better languages like Kotlin, Scala, Groovy, Clojure is asinine. Go will compile to Android architectures so you co

Why would I ever care about Go for Android when I can write apps in Kotlin? Kotlin is fully interoperable with Java. I don't have much experience with Swift but Kotlin is so nice. It has the best features from numerous languages suc

I haven't shipped anything to production yet but I haven't noticed any build slow downs. I have only really worked through Koans repo to try and learn the paradigms. It can pretty much do anything Ruby, Python, JS, etc can do an

I think Google, and to some extent Facebook and Twitter, are terrified of the Intent system. I think they could be leveraged for something extremely powerful outside of the platform or sharing app owners control.

The thought of writing Java without IntelliJ makes me want to quick programming. Ironically, Kotlin might be great in a text editor despite being made by Jetbrains.

Seems a little inaccurate. My county in Appalachia is showing 17% higher and blue. The mean salary there is about $20k/yr and the unemployment rate is at least 20%.

If popularity is not measured in the sheer amount of code written or programmers, then I would have to say Java. It has to be the most publicly shamed language. It's not really the language itself I enjoy. It's IntelliJ. Seriously

I have used a 15 rMBP in coach on a plane before. It's really not that big. At some point being smaller and light makes no practical difference imo.

It's not arrogance. It's knowing the difference in skill it takes to work on an app compared for to working on a platform or the difference between cranking out stories for the Huffington Post and writing an editorial for the New

I don't see the programmer market ever getting flooded. I think it's sort of like writing. Pretty much everyone is taught how to write but not a lot of people can do it well let alone well enough to get paid for it.

You could always just buy or move to a place with good internet. Comcast Business class 50/10 is about $99/month. It's still a bit cheaper than commuting.

The problem is that Government hasn't enforced Anti-Trust Laws since 1970. Things are more deregulated but the only companies that can compete are already part of the Fascist state. Do you remember when you had more than 10 choices f

I am planning on building a Haswell-E machine when it comes out. The new procs are supposed to have 8 cores (16 threads). The chipset also supports 64 GB over 8 DIMMS (8GB sticks) and 10 SATA III 6.0 Gb/s connections. I plan on just

Don't forget to add about 10-20% to the prices for exchanging money or using your debit card. I live in Chile right now. Living in Middle America would be much cheaper.

Is there even a good way to test if someone is high in the field like a breathalyzer? I have always been told if you don't admit they can't prove it.

Seriously, a train comes literally every 15 minutes and takes 15 minutes to get to the Mission. If you get stuck there after 12:30 it's only a $50 cab ride bike across the bridge.
