I think you overestimate how much people are willing to live in shitty conditions in exchange for business opportunities. The US may not be a boomtown but it has opportunity to live a comfortable life if you can add value. Most people would

My law school curved everything to a 3.1 average. Which means that I had a lot of B grades. Unfortunately, if I want to go to another grad school or apply to non-law jobs, they will look at this and not understand. Undergrad transcripts are

You could find a business you like and approach the owners and make an offer. Businesses listed for sale on some brokerage generally aren't worth buying.

People who pay $90k for a car to commute back and forth from work every day don't care about saving money on gas. It's just a status symbol like any other luxury car. But I hope it takes off, because it will finance the expansion of Tesla i

Uh... no. I have never see this connoted as racist. You don't get to dictate what phrases the public can't use.

In addition there aren't many lessons to be gleaned from the story. It might be entertaining to read but in the end it's as if you just wasted 20 minutes playing Solitaire.

What was Braintree's value proposition? As in, why did everyone switch to his service? Was it lower fees? If so, how do they offer lower fees in such a mature, crowded market?

That's called modular or pre-fab housing and it exists. The problem here is not building costs, by any means. It's artificial restrictions on the market by local councils who refuse to support higher density living.
