Which plugins do you use exactly? The last time I tried to set this up, there were multiple options, and I ended up never really figuring it out.

I just installed the Pins iOS app, and it seems good. There's a new official Firefox extension. There are more links here: https://pinboard.in/resources/

Is there a way to make a one-time donation without giving up my life-time membership? I love that the creator is doing this. There are so many services that I would have paid for, but instead they got shutdown or turned into crap. I was g

This is clearly a misunderstanding of what a first-class function is. If it doesn't meet your criteria in the colloquial sense of "first-class", that's one thing. But in computer science and programming in general, &qu

> You must pass it as a symbol in Ruby and then send to it. This is just plain wrong. You can absolutely do this, as other commenters have pointed out. It is common to see Ruby code passing around a symbol and sending it, but my guess a

Yes, the difference is between internal iterators vs. external iterators. For external iterators, Ruby's Enumerator syntax is a little less convenient. But I think it's a small price to pay for not having 2 colors of functions [1

That is misleading, in my opinion. "100% faster" implies that runtime for a given workload is reduced by 100%, taking zero time. I think what you mean to say is either that it's 50% faster or that throughput is increased by

Yes. Why the f is len() a function in Python? From a design perspective, it makes absolutely no sense. You have to implement the __len__() method in order for the len() function to work. Why isn't it just a method?! And that is th

I never understood this. I took the compilers class at CMU, and I loved it. I went on to take a follow-up class implementing a compiler with higher-order types. Meanwhile, most of my classmates avoided compilers altogether. I've wor

I was also just about to post about how there's still a ton of stigma around alternative theories of history. In particular, the ones about how the pyramids were built by ancient civilizations. The end result is that it's tough

Yes, I'm still using the original SE, and I love it. Even the new "mini" is still bigger than it. Luckily the latest iOS 14 still works on it, but I'm afraid that this will be the last one before they drop support.

I know smart people who have Alexa devices. Some of these people are software engineers who know there's someone on the other end listening to everything. One could argue that they must not be smart to buy these things. But I think t
