Does Pinboard have tags like delicious? That's the number one feature in my opinion.

So if there were FCC rules that came out saying the ISPs couldn't have slower access than they currently do and they can't completely block access to any legal server, would you be ok with that?

But grandma pays to use her phone. My phone company shouldn't pay for her phone, but that's why she pays her own company.

The problem is that most places don't have choices. I have only one option (ATT) for ISP and when I move in a couple months, I will have 2 choices (Comcast and ATT).

To be fair, Verizon stopped the fiber game, so I'm not sure we're going to get new pipes from the big providers.

I think it might be more interesting to try to publish a book or collection of books that assumes the knowledge is lost, but will preserve the ability to rebuild. Basically, how to get from raw materials to modern technologies as quickly as

Yes, but personally, I think the ISBN identifies the physical book. We have other ways to identify web resources, like by URL. Thanks!

An ISBN for a book shows up as a web resource in Google Books. Is there a way to get it to just be the book?

Is this part of a bigger swell of anti-technology sentiment or strictly about homes? I wonder if there is starting to be a backlash against being tied to a device, being recorded on the street, and after all that, the people behind it are

Why not the other direction? I think Comixology has a bigger backing, so they could merge their stuff to Comixology. This might be similar to how they run IMDB or Zappos.

It will be very neat to learn how this decision was made in a few years. Was Stewart offered the job or was Colbert the top pick?

I imagine he'll make a big deal about his "transition" to himself in the last week of his show on Comedy Central. I think it's interesting that the big spots are now Fallon, Colbert, and Stewart with some Arsenio Hall, S

Can you explain? To me, that line makes no sense. If he bought from a dealer, the dealer would have the same power that Tesla has in this case, right?

Interesting that they think the public is becoming more alright with the acquisition because the anger is slowing. It's like they don't understand that after all bad news, the stories and comments about it will wane over time.

Personally, I think it's an even more limited issue. It is a franchise in which players always played alone on a single computer. I think EA could have done a better job meeting the desires of its actual players instead of trying to

According to the article, with such a small n, the contestant should visit ~1.47 of collectors before picking the best one. That's hard to do in practice.

You are correct. For my wife, though, she sees that as a reason to not ask for more money. I've tried to convince her that she could maybe have both.

I've been hearing that there will be no real threat to that merger. If that's true, then I see this as a real threat to the new Comcast; basically Google saying "you will have real competition even if you are massive".

Hopefully, but I think the rate of change decreases over time. Increasingly, the computers left on XP will be computers that won't be updated. One example is the following: we have a computer in my lab we have several computers that

But XP was a paid OS. I know it was paid for moons ago, but I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a $100 upgrade after 12 years. Alternatively, I think many Linux distros work better than XP will come August 2015.

I think this is such a neat business. The farmers I've met are fairly savvy business-people and will probably be very happy to have better information about their business in a way that Quickbooks and Excel can't easily provide.
