It may suck for it, but it’s better than a collection of random scripts and commands baked into CI configuration that evolve to become unrunnable in normal dev environments.

This has always been one of my favorite aspects of macOS (né OS X). GUI app shortcuts and Terminal control sequences are mutually exclusive where it matters and shared where it’s convenient. I find it very natural to navigate text in any ap

I’m shocked Overwatch is so high. Microsoft/Activision/Blizzard seem to barely give it any attention and basically killed off its pro scene.

Aqua is still a revelation. We've taken a huge step back in being able to just identify window controls. My hope is that some of that comes back with Liquid Glass, but honestly, Aqua still looks great. What all the copy cats missed (Wi

I don't think it's fair to say they _never_ competed on graphics. The Super Nintendo was comparable and surpassed the Genesis in some graphics areas. The Nintendo 64 was a 3D monster compared to other consoles at the time. On pape

Did you know the inserts would fit prior to buying the pens? I love the Pilot V5 RT, but constantly have stains around my pockets from them deploying as I move. I don’t carry Precise V5s because I’ve had one too many explosions with them.

I can hear that Model M just be looking at it. The break on the buckling springs is still one of the best you can get.

Google already makes blocking individual services nearly impossible. Want to give kids access to Google Classroom? Auth is done through google.com so now search is unblocked. What about Google Docs? You’ve just opened all of YouTube as well

It’s odd that orgs like NYT don’t run their own ad services. I’m sure they have a dedicated department for ad sales for physical copies. They’re large enough that companies would work directly with them. And they would have at least some ed

I may be wrong about OPs intention, but AFAICT, because no encoding is specified, the client gets to choose. For someone not using a default encoding that's a superset of ASCII (like ISO-2022-KR) the page appears as a . Current practi

Dry wallers are amazing. As a diyer, it’s one of the few things I can never seem to get right. I’m happy to put holes in it, but seeing professionals patch it is another level.

This is incredible and something I’d wish I’d known about a long time ago. I’d often stub out functions like this knowing I couldn’t test the failure branch, but try to limit that to as small an area as possible. Thanks!

I think having venv like project installations would be nice as well. Let me write a Portfile for my current repo, use the system package cache if available, otherwise install locally. With clones it wouldn’t even require much extra space.
