I agree, price seems way off. I built a Steam Box for around $400 based on a multitude of guides out there, and every game I've thrown at it so far has run wonderfully (Tomb Raider, Skyrim, NBA 2k13, etc)

Pretty funny, but ... there's only been one new iOS mail app in the past year, right? I understood when people skewered to-do and weather apps, but I don't really see a glut of mail apps.

I agree. I feel as though my time spent in computer science courses in undergrad and, even more so, graduate school, helped me be a better programmer than I could have hoped than if I had spent those years just programming instead. It taugh

Better than what I had initially though from the headline: That she had actually looked at the logs of how they used it during the day.

The prices of the items themselves are the same. It's slightly more pricey due to the delivery charge and tip.

What is the "slight margin" they add? 5%? 10%? We have used Peapod a few times, a grocery delivery service here in the Northeast serviced by Stop and Shop. I couldn't figure out how they offered it so cheaply, as the prices are the same the

I love Trello, and have been using it since it was first publicly available. It was such a refreshing change from the Project -> To-Do List arrangement of, well, pretty much every web based project management software up until that poin

What distracted me the most was not the glasses, but the weird gazing into the distance look that he did when "reading" the glasses. Kind of disturbing.

Interesting, thanks. I didn't realize they were two separate entities. I remember Gamespy as being one of the first software options to easily facilitate multiplayer gaming back before it was baked in to most games.

This is really excellent. It's nice even just to use it to compare a few themes I like but could never really tell what the difference was between them, and hence why I liked one over the other.

What I like best about promoting offices like these is not so much the decoration (although personally I like it, especially the library room), but the furthering of the idea that work can be accomplished anywhere -- not just at your desk.

I'm a fan of the BreakTime app for something similar (and a bit easier). But I find it very challenging to be forced into breaks, especially for how often you are supposed to take them. I think what would be ideal is a script that would det

Looks interesting. I recently tried Marvin for iPad, which I like a lot, but it doesn't have an iPhone equivalent. I wish the product page had more information though, unless I'm missing something. For example, how do I add books to my libr

Microsoft seems to be repeating many of the mistakes here of the pre iPad tablets, when there was a crazy in the mid 2000's or so of everyone trying to succeed with one. It's a machine that tries to be both and excels and neither.

Same here. I'm not sure I see the need to version control the entire Wordpress install, seems like it makes things a bit messy.

I'm in a similar situation. I commute 3 hours each day on mass transit and love the Air in those situations, but I do miss the processor power. I happen to have a pretty beefy PC at home, so I just RDC into that for my Visual Studio and com

Thank you, I really enjoy this. I spent so much of my time in Sublime Text these days that not having to leave it (even to go to as great a program as Omnifocus) is really nice.

I think Bootstrap is wonderful to allow you to start hacking away on an app and have it look halfway decent through that process. But I agree that once it moves on to a beta stage more focus should be placed on a unique / better design.

I kind of agree. I've attended two conferences for the past few years: Pubcon and An Event Apart. Pubcon was priced at $699, and included three full days of sessions, with 5 different tracks. I learned a lot there, and felt it justified the

And how are those folks faring who didn't time the market for the past decade? On average, their funds are at the exact same place they were in 2001. I work for a company (who I won't mention simply because I don't want it to appear that I'

It seems like the backlash against "the fold" has been taken a bit too far. Yes, we know that people scroll. But it's still essential to have the important parts of your site visible in the three seconds a user takes to make a decision on w
