Let's also not forget that an app is a digital experience and coffee is a physical one. Plus even if the facts the author wrote were not true, it's just overused at this point anyway.

Tangent: I'm invested in a small cap stock, Sophoris Bio, that's in a P2B study for prostrate cancer with a drug developed out of Johns Hopkins called PRX302 (Topsalysin). That and the article about blood tests shows there's

Bandcamp gets a cut of sales and has a small (I think remote) team. They scaled slowly with revenues/profits and don't have big marketing spend and lavish offices around the world and a huge workforce.

I ride the 6 every week day -- luckily I don't go during prime rush hour, but even when I do, I don't understand why more people don't go to the end car. It's ALWAYS less full any time of day.

Fair enough, that being said, I'm not sure I need an app/community for that (i.e. a Stocktwits clone for index funds).

If this is about index funds specifically, that is definitely not clear. If anything I think this is NOT about index funds, but individual stocks. Index funds are basically set it and forget it, so why would I want to continuously use this

The author could be afraid of lawsuits (even if it is true what she writes, that doesn't mean someone can't sue for libel/defamation/retaliate in some fashion).

Uber continued to pick up people at JFK when taxi cab drivers were striking. As a response, Lyft donated $1 million to the ACLU, so everyone jumped on the delete Uber/use Lyft bandwagon. Disclaimer: I'm more of a subway kind of gu

The #deleteuber hashtag was not just about the CEO being an advisor but also the way Uber handled the taxi cab strike at the airport. I think different points mixed together to create this viral hashtag.

I work close to the Empire State Building -- following the health scare, the lines were way shorter during prime lunch hour. I've noticed them come back but seemingly not in full force (even with the Chiptopia rewards, which we did tak

Freakonomics covered Uber in one of their recent episodes and a study claimed that there was a consumer surplus, with people willing to pay 50-60% more for Uber than they were otherwise paying. Curious if it would actually play out that way

I feel like when you're working at a company that's about to go public, you can sort of see the writing on the wall (e.g. quick wins with no long-term strategy, high turnover and bad morale, upcoming products, etc.). I run Faceboo

I believe this is definitely true, but I'm speaking of the first initial interview as well. It's not quite as bad as the top of the funnel, much higher quality, but still not the level of effort I was hoping for.
