No kidding. Check out this blog to see what difference street width makes. The author narrowed LA's streets using Photoshop and it instantly feels more livable: http://narrowstreetsla.blogspot.de

I feel the same way. With my smartphone in my pocket, I ended up whipping it out at every second of downtime to read... anything. Twitter, HN, news. That's not an indictment of smartphones but of myself. My wife does just fine with a s

It took a while for me to understand why the threat of a lawsuit is so terrifying in the States. It seemed absurd for both parties to pay even if one is clearly in the wrong. I still don't understand why people are defending this syste

I hope Amazon is using this to take over last-mile delivery. That would be an amazing opportunity to roll out something like http://www.cargocap.com/ - though probably not in a typical US suburb. In a somewhat denser city, doing last-mile

Have you heard anything about Sheldrake apart from this blog post? For every one of his hypothesis he provides experiments to test and falsify them. The problem is that he's already condemned for drawing the "wrong" conclusions so every sci

This won't be a popular opinion around here but I've read quite a bit of Sheldrake's works and they strike me as very lucid. He's a scientist to the bone. However, his findings go against many current scientific theories. This should be an

We've started using Salt for configuration management and it's everything we'd hoped for. It took some time to get our state tree figured out but now it works like a charm.

Tricky one. I don't think there's any way to solve that, other than creating certificates for every CNAME - which is too expensive and complicated for your clients. I've run into this with Campaign Monitor and they simply don't do SSL for C

Thanks! CNAMEs are supported in the Pro version you can upgrade to. Previous visits are remembered, you can access all the data from your control panel or click the permalink in the e-mail you receive on new visits.
