It seemed to me TOPLink had this figured out, and then hibernate took it all away.

"frontend" is the wrong word, he should have said "web". Writing desktop UIs or mobile apps tends to be elegant. And probably "SPA frontend" as server-side UIs are also much cleaner.

The 3 branches of government were based on Isaiah 33:22: For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king. It sounds like a language that includes rules, but I don't think it's been invented yet.

For a gambler, yes, but for a biological system? Stuff falls apart, it's like any progress continually gets wiped.

Time means more entropy, so I would think that makes the calculation much more problematic, no?

I think I did something similar. I found a grassy gradual slope and had them go down it. They didn't have to think about peddling until they lost some speed.

@OP "Model our domain as a graph of attributes and relationships" and "generate resolvers". I'm curious what your model looks like so that you are able to "generate resolvers"? I had looked into using Mall

Facebook Marketplace has dried up craigslist, not saying it's better for scams, but I feel like it's the only game -in town- now.

The name "dynamic programming" has never clicked for me. I've looked it up I think multiple times over the years, and I think oh "recursive" or all the code I've written in Lisp/Elm. The distinction seems

I couldn't disagree more. DevOps probably likes it but from software dev standpoint it's not helpful at all. Had to stave that thinking off at my last job (because of devops). It was obvious it was going to be a huge waste of time

They are useful, but so far, I haven't seen LLMs being obviously more useful than stackoverflow. It might generate code closer to what I need than what I find already coded, but it also produces buggier code. Sometimes it will show me

Everything in balance. While I agree with this philosophy, I've also seen lots of duplicate bugs because it wasn't realized there was two copies of the same bug.

I'm surprised how software can be a real fight with no end in sight, and then boom, it's suddenly "done". By "done" I guess I mean "useful" as it's never done done.

Lisps don't get in your way, but they also have no opinions, which is problematic for community development. As a static type fan, it's the only language I think the pros outweigh than one con.
