I think this cannot be trully measured without top-secret data from other nations as well, not likely to be shared with the US. E.g. what if the US war with China was averted just by timely preparation? No-one knows for sure except some Chi

Ok, so I'll state the obvious - it took almost 6 years from release of python 3.0.0 (2008-12-03)[1] till fedora adopting it. And I thought that cheap PHP hosts takes long time to upgrade PHP version. Can someone with knowledge of pytho

why? compilers for other languages has compile time switches for various checks and/or optimizations, there it is assumed normal. Javascript's "use strict" is just a hack for lack such option. This has some benefits, i.e

Since when UI ( =User Interface) is only visual? To me it seems as UI got too narrow understanding of just visual in the wild (i.e. general population) and then people who really understand what they are doing decided to rebrand themselves

I'm just starting with some hobby project (as usual nothing special to show yet) and picked up typescript as it supports me when I am forgetful (as the project time is scattered in small bits) or just plain lazy. I see this as big win

Compose is even worse... What I especially hate about it is that I expext no clutter around when composing new message, they just screwed up this for me totally. (Ok, I bet they can make it worse)

I can see usig this to get perfectly replicable, easy to upgrade/rollback and movable works environment - for both local and remote use. I.e., use locally on powerfull machine or rdp to closest powerful machine you can access from slow
