Emergent properties are nice. They show CoT now, but who knows if there is a better planning strategy? Second thing is it kind of implies every base model can be increased in capability just with some RL tuning, cheaply. So in theory you ca

Do you think its not emergent because you think this behavior was explicitly coded in or you dont think its emergent because you dont like the implications of thinking it?

Yes, that’s kind of a given. The model has to have all the knowledge components to solve a task, so a capable base model is needed and only thing thats being learned here is how to stitch base knowledge to plan an attack. No amount of RL wi

I feel it’s not related to data or the architecture but the process of reasoning in general. For these models, every token predicted condition or drives the output in certain direction. Semantic meaning of these tokens have a magnitude in s

I'd say accusing people of random stuff(racism, sexism and other isms) have been so overplayed in recent years, not only it doesn't work anymore, it works against you.

It's mainly artists that got harmed economically and some/many of them have been pushing this line that scraping and training models on scraped data is illegal or unethical and got neutral left leaning people to agree with them on

You can also exaggrate/repeat it to convey that you don't actually believe it. "O gelmiş" - "He/she (allegedly) came. "O gelmişmiş" " He/she (allegedly) came(but its bs).

Would you have predicted in summer of 2022 that gpt4 level conversational agent is a possibility in the next 5 years? People have tried to do it in the past 60 years and failed. How is this time not different? On a side note, I find this ty

Are US citizens going to be punished up to 9k $ if they use vpn to access it? Is tiktok being banned because they didn't censor certain republican or democratic senators?

It wouldn't be an argument for safeguarding it because the current tech is out there and allows you to do just all that. Photoshop has existed for some time and governments use it to manipulate people too. It's not a big deal and
