Is there a page that differentiates why this is better than some of the OSS options available? HomeAssistant and OpenHAB are the two main options I know of, and both support way more than just z-wave. The page mentions the product is ope

I agree. I'd like to see a comparison of stock Brave vs Chrome/Firefox with UBO or some other adblocking extensions configured. Otherwise, I could say links is a superior browser because it loads pages even faster than Brave.

I definitely forgot about the sharing aspect of Turtl, thanks for that reminder! I also understand your point of being able to provide a service, and I hope that it is successful for you when premium launches! If you haven't already,

Turtl requires a server to sync, right? I don't remember that turning me off initially, but after using Joplin - I really wish more apps would make use of regular plain-text file syncing. Have you thought about having Turtl sync to a

I only recently learned about sciter, and was pretty excited to start using it on a personal project. Thanks for that! I'm not exactly an expert on imap/pop/smtp, but I'd potentially be interested in helping depending o

I think my ideal VR workspace would be one screen directly in front of me, and then as many screens as I want off in the distance. You'd be able to easily see the screens in the distance and look for updates/etc and just click on

A $15 chromecast + a TV or monitor that someone may not have/want for whatever reason. A chromecast wouldn't be private either if you have other people in your household.

Is there any way to get a metric of how much something has been downloaded on ipfs? I'm guessing you would have to use google analytics or something?

How long have you been using Turtl? I don't remember why I stopped using it, but I only used it for a few weeks the last time I tried it. I'm trying Joplin now, but maybe I'll give Turtl another shot too..

The one feature I never found a decent replacement for was Evernote's web clipper. It worked really well, and I actually used it quite a bit since it was so low effort compared to saving a page or copy/pasting something that I m

Zbox looks pretty interesting, thanks for linking it! Have you done any performance testing to compare zbox vs xfs/ext4/zfs/whatever on the same system? I saw the benchmark in the readme, but that doesn't necessarily sh

What do you use for indexing/searching pdfs? I didn't think about that even being a feature for something like mediawiki, but I guess that would make sense. One of the big features I like in Evernote is the ability to search pdfs

The web clipper is definitely the main reason I still use evernote. I've tried a few alternatives, but haven't found anything nearly as good. Other than the speed issues you mentioned, I'm also worried that evernote is event

I'm not currently using a personal wiki, but both MediaWiki and Confluence are pretty easy to set up. Confluence/Jira licenses are cheap for self-hosted personal use. MediaWiki is oss and probably not going anywhere anytime soon

This is what I currently do, and it works pretty well. I just have a regular git repo in keybase-git and have my ledger(beancount) files plus whatever scripts I need to import statements from various banks/credit cards.

The only real complaint I would have over WireGuard is that with zerotier, I only need to connect to one server and then can talk to any servers on the same "network" as long as the acl permits it. The other servers are discovere

A better(maybe?) idea could be to send out a survey asking what features people are interested in, whether they would be willing to pay for them, and how much if so. It could be an option when you log in to the UI. I wouldn't mind it,
