I thought you made the rotation aspect quite clear. Everyone plays both roles and I’m sure when a bigger issue arises everyone becomes aware regardless. Personally, I like this because as a dev I can set expectations accordingly. Either I

We are human animals. Our bodies need healthy food and regular exercise. There’s a case that diet and exercise are worth willpower capacity, possibly more so than anything else. That’s just the reality we exist in?

Living a healthy life requires discipline and a certain amount of humility. Both of those traits are hard to maintain after a financial windfall IMO.

Since the training data is basically the “source code” via this reasoning, does that mean there are trade secret claims (source code theft) to be made against GenAI companies? The argument would be that sites like SO, Reddit, etc implicitl

Is grip strength really a proxy for doing resistance training in general (people who do full workouts having stronger grip)? Just speculation on my part due to forearms not really being a major muscle group.

There’s this tacit myth that it’s possible for the lower end homes to get cheaper while, simultaneously, the middle/high end homes continue their regular 6% (or more) YoY gains (on which owners’ financial health depends). I think this

I’m a little confused as to what “Index” refers to here. Is it a data structure providing key lookup, or is it a single entry within one of these structures?

Any area that wealthy people are attracted to pretty much has this problem now. It’s the same exact story playing out in each locale. The core issue is important so on one hand I’m happy to see press coverage, but on the other it’s litera

Fair question: if the world is already overloaded with compelling content, do we still need to be creative? Maybe the core issue is not (directly, at least) the creativity loss, but rather the struggle against FOMO.

Autism diagnosis are based on nothing more than behavior. The facts here are that one child behaved in a manner consistent (enough) with the criteria for ASD. After treating a fungal infection, the child’s behavior changed. I think it’s a

If you look at it from 10k feet, it’s a credible investor promising a pre-stated amount of money and a quick yes/no answer, with minimal song and dance. This is practically non-existent elsewhere. The high equity cost is the premium

For better or worse, the wealthy are the thought leaders of society. Their values trickle down to the middle and lower classes. When we see them consume at a high rate (per capita), it sends a message that “what I can afford to consume is

Sounds like a misuse of relative return (growth rate). If you gain 100% today, then lose 50% tomorrow, you are back where you started. Absolute numbers give you the correct answer: x -> 2x is a gain of x, 2x -> x is a loss of x, so e

Without debating the merits of said concept, the effect would be to (finally) boost the supply of housing, and find a way to transition (decouple?) stored wealth from real estate assets to something else.

I find JSON “array of arrays” to be a better solution while also remaining human-readable. Especially when formatted as one array per line, analogous to CSV.
