JS Devs - I think if you can open up your minds and take a look at what is actually a new and interesting approach to a JS framework, you'll be glad you did. Take a look at the examples. There's definitely some potential with this one.

Another guy posted about the tubular plugin as well. One thing BigVideo.js has is controls you can customize and I have an example where you can do autohiding of content on top of the background. http://dfcb.github.com/BigVideo.js/example-

My recommendation is to detect phones through a combo of screen size and touch support and serve a background image or color instead.

Well I worked previously as a Flash dev, so guilty as charged, haha Personally, I always hated the overdone Flash stuff as well. And the scrolly stuff can get out of hand, that's for sure, but sometimes it is really cool. Ben The Bodyguard
