I heard that you could embed neovim for that sort of thing, since neovim has an ipc. I don't know how well the feature is maintained though.

most people here aren't talking about speed of editing, but rather speed of code navigation. That way it's easier to figure out what's going on in larger codebases, or one even just one you're not familiar with.

Even if the employees were fired, they would continue trying to attract the replacements to the cause. I don't think it would work the way you suggest. The cycle won't stop just because the folks who start it left.

I think it's interesting to see all the people talking about the Bay Area here. I've never done anything but pass through California, and yet I tend to mostly share the views of these "liberal" Bay Area folks. I grew up

I never paid for shows on itunes or wherever that had per episode prices, because I could never justify the cost. That's why I use subscription services. For the price of say 5 episodes at current prices, I end up with more than 3-4 ep

is it just licensing? Doesn't it do its own thing in the vfs layer and perhaps others in a way that it wouldn't be accepted upstream either way?

If it can be, it should. I'm only using electron for two reasons. I need access to a serial device, and I need to be able to package my web app to run offline. Most users will only need to install the device shim.
