I'm not sure if this is what you want, but you can turn live evaluation off with Ctrl/Cmd-l and then evaluate the individual line you are interested in with Shift-Enter.

Don't you think 'utterly unacceptable' is a just little harsh, remembering that technology, fashion, and language are not fixed things and are always changing. I think it is quite acceptable that mobile phones have replaced wrist watches.

Does anyone know of a tool that can take a API type schema and can actually generate the API for you? I'm talking about a simple CRUD type APIs for quick development. Ideally it would have user sign up and simple field validation baked in.
