With the power of reading, you can see that these are all features Sublime already had. I find Sublime's fuzzy search to be far superior as well (both in terms of how quickly I can find what I'm looking for, and in the sense that

I found this pretty good for sharing to people, if you're targeting Linux: http://linuxsurvival.com/ Parts of it are a bit dated (no longer typically used features), but it's a pretty good overview of how Linux wo

In which case the change to the PATENTS file is a net win for everyone: Facebook can now clarify that they had no nefarious intentions, and everyone else has peace of mind.

You can stream zips if you don't use compression, and you can use compression on files small enough to hold in memory. I work at Barracuda Networks, and we actually do this every day.[1] [1] https://github.com/barracuda

I don't think that's the argument. In English, the words "yes" and "no" are very short. Why? Because they're used often. They're not particularly hard to screw up. They're quick to say and quick

Even in that case, you're talking about a clone of the repository, not a "user's branch." That would be the "user's repository", which has branches corresponding to features, and bugfixes (unless they are

Hey Lachlan, I'm a 19-year-old software engineer for Barracuda Networks. When I was about your age, I was very interested in programming and computers as well. :) (You can actually find screenshots all the way back to the very embarras

I'm confused by this. I know that HTTPS is supposed to be fixing this problem too supposedly. But I don't understand how. If an attacker fully replicates a SSH server, and responds to all client messages with the victim correctly,

You can easily change the config to make the Blade tags work as they previously did. I'm unhappy about this change as well though. It's very reminiscent of some design decisions PHP has taken: 1. Create feature X. 2. Users don

I have a tough time imagining that they would generate (taking this word to mean "create") child porn. I could easily see them taking what they've found and publishing it however.

I used Amazon Payments for about 6 months for little freelance projects when I was 18. I loved it. Quick deposits to my bank, super-low fees, and I convinced a lot of people to join it. Then they started saying they couldn't verify me.

Really? The only lyrics sites I can stand are SongMeanings & RapGenius because they aren't coated in ads and people can explain stuff. AZLyrics is one of my least faves, with MetroLyrics coming in as a fave after the other two.

I think it's more of the Linux and Mac argument of "less is more." i.e. Make software that is very good at doing one thing, and one thing only. Advantages: Light, quick software. Small, easy-to-read codebase. If done well, fi

Glad to hear this isn't an odd concept. When I see others have commented out code in our codebase, I do a quick git blame (Sublime Git ftw!) and if it's from the previous year I'll just delete it.
