This uses the Rockchip RK3588 SoC with an ARM Mali-G610 GPU. In general, that's a nice chip. My concerns are - are there open source (Linux) drivers for that GPU available now? - is this CPU really suited for battery-powered mobile app

Comer was also my introduction to OS design and I still like the approach used in his Xinu books. I had a quick glance at the OS in the linked article. This seems to be based on a 32-bit RISC-V with MMU. However, AFAIK, all available RISC-V

Not quite, the ST floppies were DD (double density). One problem that could occur is that low-end ST configurations - especially the 260ST - were delivered with a single sided floppy drive (SF354, 1 side, 80 tracks, 9 sectors of 512 byte pe

It would be interesting to learn more about the hardware and CPU platforms used - e.g. radiation hardened SPARC (Gaisler Leon-based?) or PowerPC systems - and if the source code for the satellite platforms' NetBSD port is available. Wh

Unfortunately, this thing still costs more than half the price of a basic M4 Mac Mini... Even though it looks a bit like the Arm-based Windows Dev Kit 2023 PCs (which the tomshardware article mentions) it seems to be based on some Intel CPU
