But this way is carbon neutral. Every CO2 molecule you pump out, started out as a CO2 molecule you took from the air. There is no reason to dislike fossil fuels, if they no longer come from fossils. It's the releasing of carbon from mi

This is a pretty basic chemistry question, but I thought someone her might be able to give a simple explanation why it seems most of these amazing catalysts are always made from precious metals. Why is it that super expensive things like go

I love Friday and just reread it last weekend. Often I think that Elon Musk believes he is a character in a Heinlein novel. Tesla is Shipstone, the cars are just a mechanism to build better batteries. SpaceX, that's just DD Harriman fr

The democrats told us they wanted to get rid of carbon based fuels. This is what that looks like. There is no way to get to that without going through this.

Telomeres get a lot of press, but they are only one Hallmark of aging. Other possible related hallmarks I see in this include stem cell exhaustion, epigenetic disregulation, genomic instability and altered cell signaling. Note I have not re

I have to disagree with you on that. There are a great many mechanisms we evolved, most long before we were human, that appear to be anticancer mechanisms. Off the top of my head senescence, apoptosis, and telomeres. The fact we don't

Your skin turns read and feels hot, like a sunburn. It's the number one side effect of high dose niacin. There are some prescription extended release prescription niacins to reduce that effect, but it still happens. It's very unco

It could also simply be time. To me this is obviously a small study that should be followed up (quickly) with a double blind, randomized trial. Until then, I'd be hesitant to put a bunch of ppl on anticoagulants.

I believe the enforcement is federal (ATF). I'd imagine until the fed legalizes it, the process will be messy. You would have to recreate the ATF in each state. ATF also has some pretty sweeping powers that may be tough to replicate (l

My least favorite example of this is statistical "significance" which gives the impression of importance. I can't think of a word that has caused more trouble in science than that.
