Most if not all UK government websites I've seen have really good design, to the point where I consider them some of the best-designed websites ever. It always blows my mind.

Same. My last name is 11 characters which is a little long but not that crazy, and my first and middle name are extremely common English names, and yet I can't often fit my full name in places that need it. Usually the issue is on pape

I think you _could_ reclaim your own domain if you wanted. You'd want to have a banner at the top with a clear note directing people to the new domain for the compiler explorer, so that people realize immediately that you're not d

Pretty good summary, though I'd add that it's also (probably) more stable than a lot of common home routers.

Not nearly as well known as Ansel Adams, though. Especially among people interested in photography.

If you adjust the size of the paper, it can be true no matter how many or few parts there are.

I'm not sure I see the difference in curation between a webring and a "other cool sites" list, except that in the webring case there needs to be a central curator across several sites, so it's effectively just a single p

I always found plenty of interesting websites without needing to use webrings, often from sites with a list of "other sites about [whatever this site is about]" or just "other cool websites". Such personally curated list

My takeaway from the article was that most of that gear either wasn't necessary or was only necessary because of Apple's specific self-imposed production requirements. And also due to the fact that they just hired a production tea

I under stand the flipping. But the last line (as written) wouldn't be read correctly, so the commenting out of `;0 = gubed` would never close. I think another commenter figured it out, and the last line would need to be on a separate

That's what was tripping me up. I thought the last line was on the same card, so the close of the comment wouldn't be read correctly.

Isn't this something you can just configure at the server level, so you don't need to have your files be extensionless? I could swear I've done that before in apache.

That's not how chargebacks work at all in my experience, from the point of view of the company getting charged-back. I worked for a indie small retail store that also sells online, and I was the guy the owner would give the chargeback

Indeed. This is why I figured I'm probably not the target audience. Reviewing and editing is a huge part of technical writing (along with having a window open for what you're writing about), at least the way I do it.

Everyone is biased. There are no perfectly unbiased opinions. And "having a bias" is not the same thing as astroturfing.

Just because some people's opinions differ from yours doesn't mean astroturfing is at play.
