This one https://x.com/joelreymont/status/1990981118783352952?s=20 I made the mistake of poorly documenting that PR.

Thank you! I was completely unexpected, actually. I was stuck with upgrading XLA [1] and my boss gently pushed me into using ChatGPT. I wish I had used Claude instead. After that, I found myself with $1000 in Claude credits and decided to g

I had $1000 in Claude credits and went to town. Yes, I made mistakes along the way.

That one was poorly documented and may have been related to an issue in my code. I would offer this one instead. https://github.com/joelreymont/zig/pull/1

OxCaml is a fork of OCaml, they have the same license. I wasn't able to find any chunks of code copied wholesale from OxCaml which already has a DWARF implementation. All that code wasn't written by Mark, AI just decided to paste

People complaining about AI stealing code may not realize that OxCaml is a fork of the code that AI is modifying. Both forks have the same license and there are people working on both projects. AI did paste Mark's copyright on all the

I think it's for me to redo the PR and break it into smaller pieces. There's value in the PR in that it does not require you to install the separate OxCaml fork from Jane St which doesn't work with all the OCaml packages. Or

I'm the author of the PR. No, I'm not AI or bot, etc. Yes, my resume is genuine and is even more weird than what was listed (see https://joel.id/resume ). Oh, and I live in Kyiv. As for the PR itself, it was a PR s

This blog post provides a detailed guide to building standalone binaries with Julia, e.g. for microcontrollers and embedded. I used ChatGPT and Claude to modify to the stock version of StaticCompiler.jl and bring it up to Julia 1.12. I didn

It’s not where I obtained this PR but how. Claude Sonnet 4.5 (Claude Code) wrote most of it with ChatGPT 5 (Codex) reviewing and Claude addressing issues in each review. Codex wrote the last 10% or so when Claude kept getting stuck. I did n

I didn't write a single line of code in this PR but I carefully shepherded it to completion over the several days.

Debugging native OCaml code used to be painful because the compiler didn’t emit DWARF data. LLDB had no idea where your source lines or variables were. With DWARF v5 support, the compiler now includes proper debug info — line mappings, symb

I added command history browsing and editing, as well as tab completion to a debugger that did not support it. I'm going to add DWARF debugging information to a compiler next. I do it all without typing a single line of code!
