If your engineers are this good You don't need support :roll-safe: But seriously. I don't know too much about support salaries. Most of the salaries seem in a good range. The only one that stands out for me is maybe

Ah okay thanks for helping. I guess in the case of RaiBlocks, since you're only transacting currency (not Turing complete smart contracts) there isn't really a need for fees to prevent the halting problem like you have with Ether

Can someone help me understand. If a block chain (or whatever you want to call your token of choice) doesn't have any fees, how is it different from just having a database. No fees mean that every transaction has the same value so the

Ah thanks. I was looking for the Solidity API, but I guess there isn't one yet. I guess I'll have to write my own interface.

I can't wait for this to be fleshed out and implemented on Mainnet. I'm working on a smart contract that I want to integrate with Casper's API. The site is having a hard time loading, but does anyone know where the official

I've been out of SF almost 2 years to the day. I went back for Christmas and was driving around and BOY has the downtown SOMA area east of 4th street changed. So many new apartments and condos popping up. The new train station is go

I have a family friend who lost about $100k to this scam. She made a good amount of money writing books but lost a good chuck of it trying to "help out." I'm sure there are more people like him out there, but at least they

I moved to SF back in 2011 and I got burned by a few startups. I remember reading HN back then and someone said the average time to become a millionaire if you were chasing startup exits was 5 years. I probably in the best position now to

Welcome to open source software. The site I run has 70,000+ monthly unique visitors; It's used by all of the top tech companies, and brings in about $45 a month in ad revenue. I'm not complaining because the only financial costs

For me, refactors were the largest "aha" moment. On large scale projects you can move a lot faster if you don't have to maintain backwards compatible API's. We use Facebooks version of a mono-repo (BUCK [1]) for iOS de

Yeah, but if you can make $300k a year, you're likely not dedicating your software engineering career to fixing bugs. Also, you can go a few miles south to Los Gatos and work at Netflix and make $400k/year.
