Whether or not it's actually impressive is irrelevant, the point was that more people than usual were just making random things up about it.

I think this is the most made-up, arrogant comments I've seen on a post that haven't even taken a glance at the actual content. People all over asserting that it is has been done in special software, that there's typos everyw

So your justification for Dell voiding warranty upon putting the laptop in the bag on standby is that reads notes Apple...does not void the warranty, and that it is somehow virtuous to explicitly void warranty instead of honouring warrant

You can turn power nap off, and "some macs have issues" is _very_ different from Dell saying "if you put it in your bag on standby it voids your warranty".

I've never had any of that happen with either of my $1000 MacBook Pros, from 2013 and 2017 respectively. Now I just got a 2020 M1 MBP, we'll see how that goes but it seems great so far

I guess it's difficult when you don't control the full stack. Windows is a bit of a mess nowadays to be honest, you will probably get better luck with a linux laptop

Yes, I have noticed this too. Still, to me that is very minor compared to some people's descriptions of literally red hot XPS's in their backpacks here...

I agree, you're going to get downvoted but it's just true. This _is_ why people use MacBooks. It just isn't the same experience in other cases, especially now with the extreme quietness and performance of M1, but even before

Not going to lie but Apple have put pretty high standards on what people expect to work with all laptops nowadays, and many OEMs seem unable or unwilling to try to catch up.

I have this watch. My wife spent weeks trying to sell it on Facebook marketplace but they kept insisting it was an inappropriate item even after human intervention. I know it has connections with IEDs and terrorism, so I wonder if it is rel

My life is comfortable and my work is fulfilling in itself. I'm not working _just_ to pay that. Trust me, I don't want to not have to work at all. I am a scientist though so of course for many it is nothing like that; I am in a ve

I'm not sure what you're getting at. Sure, I don't like landlords as a "profession", but on the other hand it is not unaffordable, which was the point in the article. It is a mistake to conflate whether or not it is
