You sound like an incel. Anyone who cares about this stuff is already weak.

Unfortunately common among many technical users, they have no sense of page design whatsoever, and instead go for the "raw data" approach. It is bizarre

Are these seriously the quality of comments we are happy with on Hackernews these days?

Yeah it's a shame, on the other chips you can get amazingly air-y textures by setting the LFO to noise and then putting the frequency all the way up. See this video for example: https://youtu.be/_xL3qr-9-ZE

"frequency" would mean the same thing in your weird practical analogy.

I love the DX7 but it's a shame that the maximum LFO frequency is so low. It really hampers the sound design possibilities

I've had an inane conversation with them previously. Probably they have two-digit karma as they are downvoted a lot.

The goal of a pitch meeting is to sell your non-shit idea. OP had a shit idea. That's what blocked him. Hence why "standing out" didn't actually get him funded.

Even scarier, a lot of people in this thread seem to think it's a good thing .

Why would the emotional outburst suggest that when he's already spent so much time on something the YC interviewer considered a non-solution?

GDC7 quite consistently posts incomprehensible shit. Honestly a lot of HN regulars have become incomprehensible recently.

True, but your idea has to at least be good or relevant, which OP's unfortunately wasn't. It doesn't take some weird emotional outburst to stand out, it takes having an actually good idea. Of course you need to convince them

How are you inferring that from this blog post? Everything about it seems to be saying "I've heard this solution a million times, and seen a million failures, do you have anything new?" The answer is to have a solution that h

I don't see how any of that is relevant to the article, but the reason python beat out ruby was almost entirely due to ruby being really really slow.

Python distribution is honestly horrific. The worst thing is that I actually see people defending it or saying it isn't that bad if you simply learn it "properly" but I have no idea what they mean when they say this.

Exactly the point they were making. All these problems were already around at the time. In fact people didn't even see them as problems. Read gang of four, and they don't really mention working around the limitations of the langua

What has any of this got to do with "emerging as a field"? Mathematics is alive and well and, indeed, popular. It's not like Mathematics lectures are empty or that huge numbers are shying away from engineering or physics beca
