Don't you think those people are cheap enough that they're probably not going to download your app at all if they can't refund it? Isn't that little bit of exposure better than nothing? Maybe if they end up really liking your app, they'll k

Ergonomics is about a lot more than the keyboard, though. A laptop forces your arms/wrists and/or head/neck into ergonomically unsound positions, so unless there are laptops out there that transform into ergo hardware, I agree with the gp t

It's obviously pretty unclear in the worst possible way, though, and pretty awkward, too. I disagree that the context makes it completely clear. There are any number of ways to write that sentence without the ambiguity.

Certainly interesting, and I'm having trouble, as the author suggests I might, imagining what he proposes. It seems to me, though, that the state he describes--free market law--predates (as he sort of points out) currently prevalent systems

Agree. And you turn the point around very nicely. I don't think Gruber used a very good metaphor to make his point. He also doesn't provide any sort of counter-argument. I'm curious as to whether he thinks there actually is something about

I find it weird that someone who cares enough about communicating with people that he would build a web site for it would care so little about the actual writing he produces.

Very strange, confused, and seemingly self-contradictory post. The author is not trying to dissuade anyone from using Google services and is a heavy user of G services himself. One would assume, then, that he doesn't find those services cre

Interesting, I really didn't think anyone used them anymore. Just curious: do you not have a scroll wheel? I just tested, and it scrolls the same amount (WinXP (work)). The arrow keys on the keyboard also scroll the same amount.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I detect a note of disparagement toward our civil servants who have signed up for a job that puts them in harm's way. Maybe, as a military veteran, I'm over-sensitive/biased, but the tone is unnecessary to your point
