I'm surprised about the amount of comments here berating FB & social media companies. You have the option to deactivate your account and stop using it, to "vote with your feet". Meta is a company and will maximise revenue

Not really related to this post specifically, but my opinion on Cloudflare is slowly shifting from "really like them" to "they're actually hostile to indie devs". Almost a month ago now my account was incorrectly ch

IMO the problem with these social-networks now is that they all turned into ad-machines & "like-bait". The original products worked extremely well - but you gotta make money somehow, and ads seem to be the go-to model.

I lived in Hamburg for a few years. The single most jarring thing was always healthcare - expertise & availability. My personal opinion was that physicians seemed to be overly dependent on tech/equipment so their clinical diagnoses

I would say the article is a bit nit-picky IMO. For every pattern there are probably dozens of poor-use examples. I personally really like the Gmail undo mechanism.

Kinda hilarious seeing how hard people went to add "AI" to pretty much everything.

LLM's are not useful enough to me to want them integrated with my daily-drivers (web browser, email client, etc.) - so this is a great take & one that I personally identify with.

Adjacent point, but I recently bought a Windows laptop (after 10 years on Mac). I've been blown away by the sheer amount of advertising & upsells at OS level. Some of it you can turn off, but others you can't seem to (for me a

Hi! Right now the project is in an "early access" phase, so a lot of work is going into resolving these stability issues/fixes, but this is really great feedback - thanks!

I've been running a consistent 10-11ish kilometers 5 times a week for the last 13 years. Recent (old) re-injury has forced me to switch to weight training about 6 times a week - and absolutely loving it. I'll probably switch to so

Assuming an entry level job? Probably React. But real world code (in the form of libraries/apps/projects) is way more valuable IMO. Regardless of framework, to an extent of course. Good luck!
