The threat model is different. Any such system should not be vulnerable to someone that is not even trying very hard and is not an insider attacker.

Attacker and terrorist convey the same thing as hacker, that it was not negligence but a very motivated enemy. Vandal works better.

If it's just used internally by an app to test connectivity as suggested in another subthread, this wouldn't solve the problem.

New for the day or new for the history of the engine?

I don't understand how you compute that estimate. I doubt you store the history of all searches ever? People don't need a google account to query the engine, others disable history, etc. Are you saying you still have all searches

Still less than all the recipes , which would also be a valid search so I don't think this point stands.

Isn't that the point of reading foreign SF? I grew up in Western Europe in the 80's and loved reading Cold War era Soviet science fiction precisely because it was different.

Apps and websites running ads they don't know about or don't vouch for is another problem. It's like a propaganda backdoor.

The early adopters. There are always people that will weight that risk of latest & greatest and vs buggy differently, it should be a choice. Especially for apps that don't have a beta testing or early bird channel.

I never use my bank app because I don't fully trust my phone but they redesigned their website to be more mobile friendly. Now I can only see 10 operations at once instead of 30 before, and I can no longer sort by amount... When I comp

Wait, if the employee gets their min wage covered by tips the employer pays less? That's even shadier than I thought. Is this in law? Wasn't a delivery company booed for that kind of behavior a while ago?

To me, a complete lay person, this is incomprehensible. Not only you can sell something you don't own, but you can sell something that doesn't exist... How did it come to this, why? This feels stupid. What's the point of allo

I find this is not true. There is more interesting content online than one can consume in a lifetime. Personally I block reddit except on one laptop.

I've seen this interesting behavior in other contexts. There is a stupid rule that nobody likes. People make an effort to follow it despite hating it. When they see someone breaking the rule they feel that it's very unfair because

There are parts under the eyes and on the nose where there is material on top of the cracks. Is this from a restoration effort?

Yep. The fact that spacebar isn't higher makes me think the backspace could be hit on purpose.

Don't people expect backspace at the page level to go back a page, like in the file explorer?

After you go back inadvertently, if you then move forward the content is still there in the text box. No data loss. Mouse middle button sideway click is bound to back and forth in the pages, I hope this isn't going away.

The title is not a yes/no question. You can't answer "is it real or fake?" by "no", the law doesn't apply and you have to take the bait to get the answer.
