Real world or no, I doubt many of my non-geek friends are aware of the patent/innovation/whatever discussion that we're pretty saturated by here in HN-land. Perhaps in certain jurisdictions that hear a disproportionate number of IP related

I'm Australian but not a lawyer... have heard "unable to pay debts as and when they fall due" as a definition of insolvency, which requires one to declare bankruptcy if directing, say, a limited liability company. The actual act of becoming

For at least one DNS server I've setup (I don't know much about it, to be upfront) all requests for which that server did not have an authoritative response were simply forwarded to an upstream ISP server. Maybe this is an atypical setup, o

I thought this - then remembered the A380's lighting systems that (in theory) help passengers get less jetlagged. Similar to F.lux [ http://stereopsis.com/flux/ ] for display color temperature, just on a bigger scale.

I disagree with your (hyperbolic?) overrun predictions, but won't international backhaul remain a problem? Then again, a more connected country might make putting proper CDN points of presence more attractive.

Particular reason for scarequotes around 'good' re: botox? Cosmetic surgery connotations aside, botox is used for (quite effective) treatment of cerebal palsy / muscle spasticity.
