Good points. For really complex algorithms, I have a high opinion of literate programming. For more contextual stuff, like, for example, build procedures, I am wondering whether using a Wiki would be better. It is not only easier to keep it

That sounds more than can be done in a month. I don't think this wish would make the fairy happy.

That it is clearly something that could (and might should) have been done before. But. let's stick to situation described and accept that it is way to late to do that any more.

What is also interesting is that the appenwar implementation has now support for serializing logs in parallel builds: https://apenwarr.ca./log/20181106 The linked documentation does a good job why redo is a very, very

I feel you. I think that people all over Europe are sad and shocked. This is heartbreaking for all of us, I was in Genoa not very long ago. I hope that the families get all the help possible.

Firemen all over Europe had warned loudly about that type of cladding. In Germany, it is illegal to use it in multi-floored buildings exactly because of that reason. There are probably many more aspects which led to the Greenfell disaster.

I thought the strong increase in heavy goods vehicles and traffic was the main cause for the widespread problems with bridges from the sixties?

Blame, no. But going into the cause is more than warranted. Seemed like an Italian academic called it an "failure of engineering" two years ago, and another construction of the same engineer was reported to have collapsed in earli

That the market price of renewable power can and sometimes does go to zero is simply a consequence of that the marginal cost of producing additional energy is zero. The market price does not include the upfront cost but depends only on that

My impresson is that the language differences are actually minor, but that differences between platforms and runtimes matter. Clojure supports concurrency very well, and being hosted n the JVM, it is somewhat tailored to web applications. M

I am extremely skeptical about such claims. One such alternative design was the THTR design, which was implemented in the Jülich AVR reactor. It was also claimed to be passively safe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AVR_r
