Not having that canary may LITERALLY kill some of their users. If they have some decency they should own up to the truth and if they end up being out of business they will have a lot of goodwill for their next business.

Both the cars and the grid need to be de-fossilised. You can't just do one or the other. ICE cars can never be clean, EVs have the potential and when grid catches up they will be cleaner and the benefits from cleaner grid will increase

AFAICT the photo service is a convenience feature for the user itself. When I use the ID-card desktop utility or the national web service it offers to show me my own photo. It may be used by govt agencies internally (and obv for issuing it)

I live in a cool place. This winter we had extended periods of -20C. Heat pump efficiency drops, but still stays above 2. SCOP (for year round average for heating coefficient of performance) units sold now are better than 5. Also, if you ar

Big price difference comes from installation of ground loop. They either dig up your back yard and install a horizontal loop or you can have a vertical borehole (you probably need several of those). Boreholes here in NE-EU are about 35EUR p

But who would put it into context how much faster it needs to happen? The quickest numbers I found are that total renewables energy production is about 7000TWh/year. Whereas global primary energy consumption is 160,000TWh/year. So
