OK, so I was also raising awareness of the issue, guilty. And no, this was the only time I've mentioned this on HN, and I'll never mention it again here, you have my word. Had no fucking idea it would draw so much ire (most downv

So do the protections afforded by the French constitution apply to "all men, French, foreign, prisoners and enemies"?

You're absolutely correct. I was thinking of what is called natural personhood. But I'm curious specifically how the German constitution differentiates the two.

That's impressive. I guess that's the difference between a modern, progressive constitution written over 2 centuries ago versus one written 50 years ago. Semantic point, do you differentiate between a "human" and "p

I'm as opposed to mass surveillance as anyone on HN, but I've been surprised by this kind of reaction. Why are non-citizens surprised at this lack of constitutional protection? Are there actually any countries whose constituti

Yes, true. I'm probably overstating things. Just excited about the prospect of having these things in Ocaml. Scala is an impressive language but it's a big language. I prefer the relative simplicity of Ocaml and (even more)

Most REST API frameworks that I'm aware of (e.g., Django REST framework) easily allow you to accept either the semantic HTTP actions, or an action parameter in the query string. Some also let you fall back to the `X-HTTP-Method-Overri
