Well… to be frank, this is someone not reading TFA. The article is pointing out real limitations of vibe coding today (which you appear to agree with). It does suggest AI coding won’t be viable in the future. You should probably update your

Yes. I was happy when Fowler came out because we could all start using the same terminologies for the same things, and work from common concepts when solving the same problem. (It didn't work out that way, though. It seemed like most p

The nano-texture isn't really that useful in my experience... not really much better than the anti-reflective screen and you still end up adjusting angles. The best reason to get it is just because you prefer it.

Ah, well you don’t need a special app for that, just a phone. People searching for their lost pet put their contact info out as widely as they can so it’s very easy to find all over the place on social media. This scam is unfortunately very

You're probably reading too much into previous poster's choice of the word "gift". Most likely it is a slightly misused idiom rather than intending to convey that the teaching ability was obtained without effort.

These guys either hired 14K bad/useless managers, or fired 14K decent, useful managers, or some combination of both. I wouldn't bet they will suddenly become good at hiring managers.

How would ignoring the ipad not have solved OP's problem? They could have just replaced their old macbook with a new macbook. Not that there's anything wrong with trying something new, IMO. But if you do so without doing any resea

I guess this kind of article always gets attention, but they always seem so stupid to me. A thing exists that I don't want. I could: (1) ignore the thing; or (2) complain that the thing isn't something I want (1) seems so obviousl

So... do you really think you were doing it right? Sorry this is a little harsh, but how do you get anywhere near 100 people before realizing the approach must be horribly flawed, and devising and implementing a better one? Surely it behoov

All I really care about is the end result and, so far, LLMs are nice for code completion, but basically useless for anything else. They write as much code as you want, and it often sorta works, but it’s a bug filled mess. It’s painstaking w

I'm guessing it's more because "Ultra" versions, which "fuse" multiple chips take significant additional engineering work. So we might expect an ultra M4 next year, possibly after non-ultra M5s are released.

That's an easy case: write to two places (one for the chat and one for the user's activity). In this case I think you can let them become inconsistent in the face of, e.g., write errors.

What's the benchmark for success, I wonder? It's not that hard to spend less money, but will the government still be doing the things we want it to do effectively? There doesn't appear to be a plan, just a bunch of actions. I
