Interesting, I’d never seen or used .b or .p that someone else mentioned. I agree those definitely should not be a part of the standard library. Not sure about to_i etc. we use those pretty often and it’s never really been an issue.

I would love to hear the specific script they use to convince people to buy gift cards. Everything leading up to that I can understand someone being suckered into - but how the hell do they convince people that a government agent wants the

In order to allow external testers, not on your company Apple account, you have a sort of mini review. It’s not the same as a full review although I don’t know the difference.

For the first point how would you handle software that needs a database of some sort? Or are you saying the project ought to include an install script that handles dependencies?

Tourists visit Times Square and then go home. Similarly I might tour some virtual hell hole covered in ads for Candy Crush but then I’m going home to an ad free existence because I’m not a crazy person.

Oh don't worry, even if you never showed one iota of interest in Youtube Premium and skip every single annoying popup related to it - you'll still get asked every single time you open the app.

That is standard practice for literally every corporate email account I've ever encountered in 15 years of IT work. You do not own your company email address anymore than you own the extension on the phone on your desk at work.

Yeah except now it’s suggesting songs on tidal that played during tv episodes. Haven’t found a way to get rid of that :/

Jellyfin is one of my fallbacks in case Plex ends up walking off the cliff of pointless bloat and unwanted partnerships. The current Tidal integration, that you can’t fully disable, was the first time I started considering alternatives.

We managed a bunch of small businesses, with sometimes completely different hardware, Windows versions etc. So unfortunately a lot of the larger scale/same local/VPN network IT management solutions wouldn't work for us.
