I do think meeting people out (at bars and things) is critical and the dating sites now don't take advantage of that - the check into places idea. Yep. We weren't sure at first, so we asked girls: would you rather meet a group of guys at

Yep, Grindr notoriously has had great success with their app for non-straight people. It's something unique to that market, but when you try to speed up the dating process for straight people, it has always failed. Why? Because you're missi

I have to disagree that colleges are the best place to start, from your blog. We actually started all of this at Stanford, talking directly to fraternity and sorority presidents. They all sounded excited when we said we'd taken them out for

Got super frustrating that my ability to even see how this site worked required me to drag my friends into this mess without their consent. I'm going to add some explanations to the home page, I definitely agree with you here. It's a lot

Women will still be over messaged and men are still under messaged. People still ignore profiles in favor of photos - what does this change? Aren't you more interested in reading what somebody's friend has to say about them rather than wh

That's a lot of work to fake a profile, so it seems like the odds are much lower with us vs. another site where all you need is an e-mail address. I also think Facebook is also good at detecting fake accounts.

I have found that the act of free writing whenever I'm stressed out or procrastinating results in an inevitable question that needs answered, and for whatever reason I was avoiding it at the time. Once it's on paper and I can look at it, I

That's interesting, would you mind posting the link to the site or name of the company that was doing this before? Would love to check them out. I think it's something we're opinionated on: dating doesn't need to be a serious business. It's

Not right now. Maybe in the future we'll let you join using e-mail, but for now it makes it a lot easier to prevent people from faking their own profiles and it also speeds up the process of adding friends.

I think you've done a better job at describing this than I could. I got out of a 3 year relationship 5 months ago and rebounded pretty hard, so I tried lots of online dating sites. I always found it slightly awkward when I was filling out m

Bill sharing has been a hassle for me since I have two roommates, but I've been using Splitwise without any complaints. From the looks of it, this is taking the group SMS approach, which I would find overwhelming. I get e-mails whenever bil
