That'll make me use it in public more. Genius move. I'm just too shy to walk down the street and talk to my phone without it looking like I'm talking to someone.

This is what Rogers did in Canada. It used to be a 200+ GB cap then it slowly lowered to 60GB, 80GB, 120GB depending on your plan. (not sure if those numbers are 100% correct as I've since moved to TekSavvy)

RSUs are fairly standard as a bonus inside Apple (not this many though!). Typically, they vest over four years, twice a year as long as you stay an Apple employee.

It's not a reasonable interpretation. Bray is just very far outside of Apple to interpret it the correct way. That email wasn't from Tim Cook to the world, it was from Tim Cook, new CEO, to his employees.

Sure, I've heard it said more than seen it written. Especially on news stories: "the car was tracked using the GPS system", etc.

Like GPS System? The acronym takes on a life of it's own as a 'word'.

Thanks for the clarification. I've just never heard anyone be as specific about it as you, and I appreciate it. Almost everyone (non-financial sites and reports) considers it all "cash" and reports it as such.

Apple has about $76 billion in cash after the last quarter. Not sure where you got $28.4 billion from. Also, I'm not sure why you say that Apple is unlikely to maintain it's advantage in the smartphone and tablet industry. I'd say they are

Ahh, very nice! It's crazy to think how many of these little touches are hidden in OS X.

I'd argue that it is a major update when you consider the security features and a whole new paradigm for saving files. To me is seems like the beginning of a bright future.

Love that you can hold option while resizing to change the size from the opposite ends. Very handy.

If you watch shows through their set top box it doesn't count towards any limit. So, kind of like standard cable going to a TV, where the TV channels are on a dedicated 'connection' to the provider and watching TV doesn't utilize the broadb

Apparently, the FaceTime team wasn't aware that it was to be made an open standard until Steve said it on stage: http://daringfireball.net/linked/2011/05/11/facetime-standar...

You could also call the IP address that you're sending email from 'tracking data' if you wanted. Hell, I get a text message from Rogers the second I land in the US to let me know that roaming rates apply. The fact that I have a device that

This is interesting. I remember hearing a story about Apple and the record labels. Basically, it took a long time for the labels to trust Apple with their entire catalogues DRM on Apple's servers (DRM was added at time of purchase). It requ

Haven't dug into the app much, but couldn't it be used in a business environment to structure the sharing of content to others?

Not sure you can lump all Android phones together against the iPhone. To me it seems Android is now the new baseline. All phones to come out from now on have to be at least this level or they won't sell. Google has now given each carrier th

The flick-up on comma and period is a nice shortcut. Here's another one that's helpful: If you want to type just one character that's on the numerical keyboard, don't just tap the ".?123" button, tap and hold then drag to the key you'd like

Thing is, the "Cupertino Grand Unified Vision" usually syncs up better with the needs and desires or the general population. Some people don't want to have to configure anything to start using it or to start being productive with it. Apple'

I wonder how many people don't redeem the credit. Those who didn't have an issue might feel guilty doing it but happy to know that Netflix cares enough to inform it's entire base.

You're not taking into account Mac OS X and iLife (among other things), which are major pluses. Especially when you're responsible for other's tech support.
