If the person was an actual US citizen, they wouldn’t be able to get them back? Now they were able to exchange an arms dealer for a pot smoking basketball player in Russia. Why can’t they do the same in Salvador?

You must be careful with many of these failure mode “mitigations”. Even a read after write from physical disk doesn’t necessarily guarantee that the data is hardened on the media. With SAS drives you may be able to also set the FUA and DPO

The policy could just be for rental taxes on SFH. I don’t see a reason society should encourage rentals in the SFH market.

This was an OEM storage offering back when we sold hard drives. We found a software improvement to our storage arrays which resulted in the customer needing fewer drives. Let’s say that instead of them needing 100 drives, with the software,

We had an OEM relationship with the vendor. Basically one where we didn’t want to upset our long standing goodwill. The dollar auction is accepted at 100% when you offer to keep 60%, suggesting that the receipt does not consider that an ins

I used to work on storage software pricing. We would charge 60% of the value it would bring our customer - based off of the classic behavioral game theory experiment, Dollar Auction. Our customers surprisingly didn’t object.

Why doesn’t Canada just go nuclear and proliferate nuclear technology to any country which the US imposes tariffs upon? If you’re a country with free will, play the game all the way.

The alternative to immigrant minimum wage strawberry pickers is native born strawberry pickers who would demand significantly higher wages. The capitalists get rich by selling more strawberries at a lower price. It can be both bad for nativ

Hasn’t Spacex driven down the launch price for the government? A zero-margin government program isn’t necessarily cheaper for society. Much evidence shows that state owned competitions are significantly less efficient than the free market.
