X11 has little to with screen sharing. They always describe it as the networked window server, but in reality on OSX, it is the software that allows Inkscape and similar programs to run on your own machine.

To imagine a 2d surface closing in on itself, you imagine it in 3d. To imagine a 3d object closing in on itself, you unfortunately have to try to imagine it in 4d.

Progressive means the scientists advocate reform or "new, liberal ideas". All of which is fine in their private capacity, but if these scientists are influenced in their scientific output by being progressive then they're not doing their

If you've been working for some time, why are you asking questions about whether it should be online or not? Surely you've figured out the basics of how it'll work and how it'll be different from every other note-taking medium long ago.

Hmmm... From man 3 printf: "These functions return the number of characters printed (not including the trailing `\0' used to end output to strings) or a negative value if an output error occurs". So the 17 makes sense, but where did the out

Yeah, and the weird thing is that reddit long ago became so large and diverse and infiltrated by trolls and shills and liars that no-one on there ought to trust anything like this anymore. Kudos to their faith in humanity, I suppose.

As mentioned by others in these comments, it's when you "like" something that the owner of that page can see who you are. If you click an ad they can't. I think.

The application of these artistic principles to startups is such a stretch. If it was just about coding, fine: restraint is good, technical ability is good, cooperation is good. But why should a startup be worried about whether it's flaun

That doesn't work too well when writing for a conference or journal with a predefined template and style file. The obvious solution -- do all your writing in Markdown and then integrate at the very end of the workflow -- doesn't work too we

The big thing that is missing from most "here's how easy it is to do Latex" articles is integrating with pre-existing styles and templates. When learning Latex I was able to write my own documents with no problems. When I had to deal with (
