Last week I decided I wanted to _relearn_ logic, and actually found this as well. I studied some Philosophical and Mathematical logic back in school, and kind of miss it. I also found https://openlogicproject.org/ which is

Not OP, but we're currently using Pedestal to serve Lacinia (graphql). Previously I've used compojure and all that. I've only done the data/backend stuff, so I've personally never seriously used cljs, and my compani

Been trying to work through interpreters/compilers/PL with the idea that it will help me solve many different problems. I thought it would go quicker but it's taken some time to let the ideas sink in.

Yes, it's what first got me into programming. Back in the early 2000s I saw videos like this, got myself flash, and made animations myself. I used to hang out in forums where people would make stick figure animations. We all had drea

Used to love my moka pot but got rid of it. This post inspired me to get another one. Any recommendations for fair trade coffee? I usually drink equal exchange, but it's not the best coffee.

Wish I started out with Emacs, but after 10 years of curating my vimrc, I don't have time to replace all my custom plugins/bindings by figuring out elisp. I liked Doom as a vanilla editor, but I went back to vim. For what it'

Take an interview now and see what questions they ask you so you know how better to prepare in those 3 months. If you know closures and generators you're probably already fine to work it's just passing an interview. Maybe you&#x

Was in a rough spot a year ago so I took 3 months off. Found myself with a better company, less stress, and more interesting work. We're pretty lucky a lot of us are able to do that.

Glad to see Slitaz still alive and going well. I first used it probably in 2010, and I really liked how different it was from other distros at the time.

Possibly. It's not a space I want to be, but there's a lot of tempting aspects. New niche languages (Haskell, Rust, etc), language writing and design. So I'm sure some of the positions are fun.

Leibniz is definitely an interesting person. I studied about him in philosophy, but in grad school I focused more on his contribution to the ideas of computers. Leibniz and Pascal is a good starting point in history.
