Daniel Stone actually did a talk involving much of the same subject matter called "The Real Story behind Wayland and X". I'd recommend that over this article (which was partially written by the same guy). He's actually a

Why is static pointless and why is dynamic better? If emulating a newer game console, couldn't you get better performance by running a statically recompiled game, since it doesn't have to do the extra work at runtime? Or better ye

I almost spit out my drink at the map about "The city". I mean, really, what did they expect?

Wow, how crazy is it that every scientific study by Microsoft happens to prove the superiority of their products! What a lucky coincidence, since we all know they would never fudge the results.

Maybe things have changed, but I've consistently had a far better experience with nvidia cards on linux.

From watching their videos it looks like they're huge Apple fanboys. I doubt they'll ever support Google anything.

I don't know why people claim that gnome 3 is for mobile. On my nexus 7, it's an unusable piece of crap but on my desktop/laptop, I've never been more productive with anything else.

Interesting, considering I knocked quite a few dollars off the price of my current desktop when I bought it from Dell with Ubuntu preinstalled six years ago. Thanks Dell for losing money for me.

Nope, I'm in the US with an .edu email address. Checked the spam filter and everything. Nothing. EDIT: Registered again and it worked! Goodbye bitbucket.

This sounds really awesome to me. I'm finishing up my last year in college, and I've failed to really connect with a single person so something like this could have made my life so much better. Obviously, though, I'm not a good representati

Android 4.x supports it, but I think the phone hardware has to also support it somehow. As far as I know there is no way to get a galaxy nexus or a nexus 7 into usb mass storage mode.

When I see comments like these, I feel like there must be two different KDEs. Every time I've tried to use it, I've had the exact opposite experience: it runs really slow and provides a complete nonsense UI.

I know pacman doesn't do everything that apt/dpkg does, but for a personal machine I highly prefer it to any other. What exactly don't you like about it?

I never see anybody complaining about removal of features from epiphany (the gnome web browser). That's probably because everybody knows it's intended to be a simple, featureless browser for those who don't need something more powerful. If
