Or maybe Intel really has hit a thermal limit, rather than hatching a conspiracy against consumers? (Not saying 10+GHz is necessarily impossible, just that it's more likely hitting it is hard than Intel doesn't want to innovate

How does this compare to 802.15.4? It seems like the two have similar purposes.

> my Keybase key is an ed25519 key Could you explain how you did this? I was under the impression it was impossible because Curve25519 encryption isn't implemented yet.

As an alternative, this is the one I've been using: http://numato.com/mimas-v2-spartan-6-fpga-development-board-... It's pretty cheap, but it has a whole bunch of nice things built onto it, and a simple flasher sc

I'm on a team that will be participating in the upcoming qualifier for the finals. I'd be happy to answer any questions about the challenge (that I know the answers to), though not any about our specific techniques ;)

Chrome tabs use the same process for initiation, but then use WebRTC to actually stream the tab over the local network.

That's the Surface 3 (not the Surface Pro 3). Apparently, some distros work on the Pro 3 fairly well (though not without issues).

I'm a little worried about generating a new "master" RSA key nowadays, since it seems like ECC is right on the horizon of going mainstream. I would generate a new Ed25519 key today with GPG 2.1, but Curve25519 encryption isn&

I believe technomancy has said he uses Conkeror, a heavily keyboard-based browser (that I highly recommend), so he has little use for a mouse :) (As a fellow Emacs and Conkeror user, the time is rare that I have to touch my mouse.)

As someone who plays in a lot of "conventional" CTFs (e.g. DEFCON, Codegate, GitS, etc.), this sounds very cool, even if my participation in those already gets me some job offers :) One question: for a less "just for fun"

IANAL, but I would think the Sega v. Accolade case [0] would make this legal (unless the DMCA applies, but I don't think it would here, due to the more physical nature of the product). [0]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki
