My own experience is that I can't really develop the appropriate expressiveness and dynamics in a piece until the notes and fingering can fly on autopilot. So learning it by rote is sort of a necessary first step towards owning it. But

There often just isn't a choice. When I was shopping for co-working spaces I'd see tons of open plan space, with maybe 1 or 2 tiny phone closets for 50 - 100 people. They were always in constant use. I don't know why open off

I used to view NPR as a relatively unbiased source, but lost a great deal of respect for them (to the point that I now rarely listen) during Trump's presidency. I am not a Trump supporter in the slightest, but was appalled at their nak

This test is widely available in the US from e.g., Counsyl[1]. It's pretty amazing how many conditions they are able to check for with just a sample of the mother's blood; it's not just Down's but virtually any chromosom

There's a fictional podcast which has this as its premise: a company trains an AI on your loved one's social media corpus and then sells you the ability to continue to interact with them after they're gone. A fun listen: htt

You can easily store notes on a TI calculator. I had a TI-85 in college, and was occasionally guilty of writing TI-BASIC programs to make tests easier (for example, I had one which computed Euler's method).
