Quite the opposite here. Go is very easy to refactor if need be. What kind “breakages” are you talking about? Go being “verbose”? Or “fragile”? I doubt we’re talking about the same Go. In Go you have a garbage collector, no need for the bor

Rust has been around for so long these domains should have long since been covered. Quite telling they aren’t yet, particularly considering the momentum in publicity. I wonder why.

Wel IO is State, cf. https://hackage.haskell.org/package/transformers-0.6.1.0/doc... You set up your pipeline in terms of monads and then when you want to execute it you run it in IO. You can generalize IO to Mona

I believe there’s always a cost to managing the complexity and the complexity never diminishes. It depends on whether you are efficient at managing it that way or another. Go doesn’t give you many tools to control it but forces you to certa

I think some languages are better suited than others for certain styles of code and specific kinds of software. Go’s syntax might appear simple as opposed to Scala say, but Go’s semantics have enough idiosyncrasies to seed a lot of bugs whi

Exciting news! Right time to integrate the efforts put into GHCJS and perhaps PureScript and Elm into mainline GHC. Proper dependency graphs and build story. Fantastic!

I think the sibling reply is spot on. We've hit a sweet spot with Haskell. It's extremely efficient in both compute resource and manpower. Perfect CPU utilization with minimal memory footprint among garbage-collected languages. Bu

In this case the code is just above in the REPL. If you compile a source file, the exact spot is always pointed at by the compiler.

Decided to join this conversation and share my very recent experience. We recently switched from Haskell to Scala for a new project due to the scope of the JVM ecosystem, in spite of having inline-java available in Haskell and GHC‘s excelle
