There is definitely a Jeep joke here in how they have optimized getting the error codes since it happens so often.... :) But really, that is super handy! I wonder if other makes have a similar feature that I just have never heard of or if

+1 for this. I have been super happy with both Mint and Pop!_OS after leaving Ubuntu. They have everything I like about Ubuntu with basically nothing that I hate.

Seconded. I am also a fan of Linux Mint for very similar reasons. Ended up recently switching from Mint to Pop, though because I like modern Gnome more than Cinnamon (sue me). Mint was pretty much rock solid on my Dell XPS. It just worked

Most of the homeschooling families that I have experienced do not seek to completely shelter their children from all the bad things in the world. Taking the bullying example, the goal is not to protect their kids from ever experiencing bull

Teaching is hard. Absolutely! But sitting one-on-one with your child helping them understand something is _way different_ than trying to manage a classroom and explain concepts to 30 people who are all at different levels of knowledge and

This is a very good point! I would just like to add, though, that teaching does not have to be one of your "core competencies" to consider homeschooling. Many folks like in places with terrible public schools, but also cannot aff

You must be new here.... But seriously, I 100% agree! No one is paying for these icons. Mistakes happen. The world is not ending if they do not get corrected immediately. We all have a ton of things we are working on and cannot always make

This is a fair point. If you don't want to be intrusively tracked, you should not expect "free" services. However, IMHO the answer here is to find a different model for funding online software/services. Letting advertisi

I get that this was said in jest and I laughed. But I do think it is worth pointing out there is nothing wrong with folks doing something to scratch their own itch. It does not have to be hugely popular or have a ton of users. If the sysadm

I appreciate the debate and tension around this issue on HN. I think it is dangerous to consider a situation as complex and multifaceted as RMS to be settled and not worth discussion. That being said, I 100% agree with you! I don't ca
