I guess it's time for Linus Torvalds to do some web programming. (joke) His report shows: "Linus seems to speak only one programming language: C. Maybe it's about time to branch out a bit."

As a Dvorak (and primarily Mac) user, the switching back and forth on Windows is really annoying for me. I always assumed there must be some system setting that would allow you to switch it for everything. However, this can be pretty easily

Hey, this is pretty cool. Does this style of annotation exist for any other libraries/projects? I think the left side could be expanded into a pretty good pedagogical tool using mini-examples and explanations to focus on key concepts in the

I liked this comment on the article. This is the kind of feeling I had while reading it: "Lets take 5 data points and project backwards 3x the range of the observed data. Science! Regression!! There's no way this could be wrong, right?"

Agreed. As a pianist, I not only look at the position of individual notes, but also the positions of the next 3 to 6 consecutive notes. This way I can think in "groups" of notes - which is very helpful for sightreading broken chords quick

This reminds me of an interesting short story entitled "Understand" that I read a few years ago. The premise of the story deals with the question "what would it be like to find meaning and order in everything you saw?". Naturally, language

For those who have been trying to scrape pages that make AJAX requests, something you can not do with BeautifulSoup alone - I would recommend using Selenium Server ( http://docs.seleniumhq.org/ ). This allows you to automate a real browser

As a web person looking to get "closer to the metal", this is the kind of course I'm looking for. I also like the idea of daily bite-sized tasks assigned via email and the private mailing list for users sounds nice. In addition to these, wi
