I would think it unrealistic for a country to make a foreign investment of magnitude that doesn’t favour their citizens. The government wont survive long if its people think it’s just giving lots of money to foreigners.

Money in quantity and reasonably free movement of workers. The latter is why SV is in California rather than Boston. It can be created elsewhere given the political and economic will. Or, if events get outside its control.

Mobs attacking the seat of government tends to be considered a Bad Thing. So yeah, calling it a criminal act is appropriate. But, as in Shogun, “unless you win”. Then it’s not criminal it’s revolutionary.

This will probably be flagged all to hell, but its seem quite justified for Poland as well as NATO should act to defend Polish air space. Basically declaring a no-fly zone on itself...

I'm way older, but I had the impression that 30-35 was already too old for casual consideration for software development outside specific fields? Which is depressing as science PhD's enter industry at the 26-30 age range...

Perhaps. But cost, the lack of a national charger network, the sheer size of the us and politics is hindering EV adoption. Throw in a questionable ability to handle the power load and the inherent conservatism of us-Ian’s… Canadians also.

If it was like $200 or $300. Not having the ability to snap pix at any time I want is a noticeable reduction in capability. It would also lose the ability to annotate what I'm looking at with AR/informative labels, etc.

Given how I’ve worked and the developers I’ve worked with over the decades, marketeers or managers might work better in bunches but peace and quiet serves the developers. Offices with a door, few interruptions, etc. Rands has talked about

While it’s not sexy, I suspect there’s still a whole lot of silicon being melted using C, C++ and whatever Fortran is called now. Lots of simulations are accessible now and much of the calculation logic can be parallelized. Remember, if yo
